First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is April and I would like you to meet my family. This photo that I'm sharing with you perfectly represents my life. My 3 boys oldest to youngest. Besides my family commitments, I am passionate about art, video games, fishing, and photography, which is a significant part of my everyday life.
Growing up in the 90s meant that disposable cameras were the only way to capture memories. I remember having bags and bags of them all over the house, but I never had enough money to get all of them processed. As an adult, I only have a limited number of photos from my childhood, and they are all stored in a shoe box. Unfortunately, most of them are now faded and old, just like my memory. I want you to have more than a shoebox. I want you to have all the memories :)
I thoroughly enjoy going out on a crisp spring morning to capture photographs of nature. Even though I have lived just a few blocks away from Lake Michigan my entire life, the views never cease to amaze me. Our world is beautiful, from the tiny ants and butterflies to the vast sky and the way the light hits the blades of grass just right. I love it all! This is my favorite photo of wildlife I have taken.
I recently got into drone photography and I have to say, I love it! When you are flying through the sky, everything just seems less complicated, even more beautiful. The world we live in is purely magical. I fly a DJI Mini 2 SE and hope to upgrade in the somewhat near future so I can start offering drone photography to my clients as well. For now, it is just a most beloved hobby.
I take photography to a whole other level. I Love to get artsy and create images that are more than just a photo. I love playing with texture, light, and editing. I have worked with a lot of amazing people to create a lot of really mind-blowing images. So if you are feeling a little adventurous and want to try something out of the box, I am your girl! I have had 2 of these images published in magazines and that is something I am super proud of!
